One Stop Information Center Role  To collect, compile, store, retrieve and disseminate information relevant to Dubai's tourism and commerce (including listing and statistics). - To compile statistics relating to Dubai's hotels and hotel apartments.
- To research and provide information for all DTCM publications.
- To conduct mini surveys, ad hoc research projects, analyse responses received from various surveys relating to Dubai Experience, National Day etc.
- Provide back-up information to all DTCM staff for overseas exhibitions, inward missions, meetings, press conferences, press releases etc.
- To maintain the Department's library Tasks include compiling lists of upcoming development projects; airport passenger statistics; visa statistics; foreign companies listings; foreign trade statistics etc.
Strategies of the OSIC (One Stop Information Centre) - Prepare special information packages tailored for Europe and AGCC markets.
- Carry out an analysis of overseas representatives to fight competition in these markets.
- Analyse options offered by Dubai to tourists from these areas against their preferences.
- Produce information in more languages.
- Prepare information on tourism important to Dubai and its benefits to the people.
- Produce special information on available facilities for the disabled, safety measures etc.
- Produce professional information tailor - made especially for investors.
- Introduce information on world economic groupings.
