sailing ban in Dubai

Hi, Have come over to Dubai to spend a week dinghy sailing and the coast guard has put a ban on anyone going out on the water. I understand this was due to an incident last weekend when someone got into trouble and lost their boat. I am extremly upset about this and wonder why a complete ban has been put in place. It's not a very good advert for tourism and I will be speaking to my contacts at the RYA on return to the UK. It is a long way to come and find you cannot sail!

hi im carlo and im filipino and my girl friend have a resident visa in dubai.i just want to know if she can give me a visit visa so i can go to dubai and is it possible for us to get married in dubai if i only have a visit visa.if ever it is possible,can she sponsor me so i can have a resident visa too?i will be very thankfull if i get a respond from you.thank you so much.

Consumption of electricity and equipment with very low flow to meet area of 25,000 inhabitants occupies only 9 square meters

Visas

If the UAE believes tourism is so important, why do they make it so hard to get a visa for citizens of most countries? I've been running around for the past two weeks trying to get visas for friends that plan on visiting, and not even the immigration officials have any idea what's going on. Every person I speak to contradicts what every other person has told me. Like most things here in the UAE, the visa changes were made without any thought as to potential consequences and without clear communication of the changes through all appropriate channels. I'm beginning to think that the UAE should outsource even the government jobs to expats because they're the only ones capable of running things in an organized manner.

Hallo Vor ein paar Jahren hab ich Dubai Urlaub gemacht. Das war der schönste Urlaub den ich je hatte. Die Menschen sind dort so nett und hilfsbereit wie niergend wo anders. Das land werde ich auf jeden fall wieder besuchen !!!!!!!!!!!!! MfG Erik Meermann
